The PreSonus StudioLive AR8c provides the perfect balance between analog performance and modern day innovations, delivering a highly versatile recording and mixing unit with a range of quality components. The mixer’s design is ergonomic and simple, giving you full access to all your controls with ease. The larger rotary knobs for the main level controls allow you to precisely dial in your levels with ease. The mixer features 8 channels each with a 3-band EQ (not including the Super Channel) including two stereo channels and two mono channels.
The mixer also features both mic and line inputs allowing you to record directly from the mixer from a range of equipment. The StudioLive AR8c also features 48V Phantom Power, allowing you to record compatible devices such as condenser microphones. Additionally, the mixer features rotary controls for Solo Master, Control Room, Phones, FX, Monitoring, Main and more.
Integrated Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and Super Channel
Combining the modern innovations with the classic mixer layout, the PreSonus StudioLive AR8c mixer provides you with built-in Bluetooth connectivity. This wireless Bluetooth 5.0 connection allows you to pair your phone or other Bluetooth enabled device with the mixer. This enables you to stream music wirelessly through the mixer for music breaks, backing tracks and other applications.
This is great for practice bands and rehearsals allowing you to learn songs or play backing tracks straight from your mobile device. The Super Channel (stereo channel 7/8) allows you to connect up to four stereo analog and digital sources at once. This versatile channel allows you to use a range of devices with your mixer from playing stereo audio from the onboard SD record or from your USB connected computer.
2×2 SD recorder
One of the most unique and convenient features of the PreSonus StudioLive AR8c is the 2×2 SD recorder. The SD recorder allows you to record your live performances from the mixer straight to an SD card. This versatile feature means you don’t have to prepare tedious setups just to get a great quality stereo recording.
Ideal for bands who wish to record live performances on the fly whether it be at venues or at practices, the Capture Stereo Recorder will do it all with ease. Additionally, the SD recorder will also allow you to play up to 32 GB of MP3 or WAV files, allowing you to stream backing tracks straight from the mixer. This is ideal for smaller bands or bands who need added digital instrumentation to add depth to their performances.
Studio-grade effects
In addition, its wide range of digital components, the AR8c mixer also features built-in digital effects. The AR8c features 16 digital effects ranging from Reverbs to Delays allowing you to add high-quality effects to your mix with ease. The internal stereo effects processor delivers the premium-quality sound created by the effects, adding everything from subtle Reverbs to emulating acoustically treated rooms for warmer and more intimate tone. The digital effects feature a return plus a master level fader and a dedicated monitor send, allowing you to dial in the level of effects into your main and monitor mixes. You can also bypass your effects with a footswitch (not included) for mixing options.
Complete with comprehensive software bundle
Also included with the StudioLive AR8c mixer is the Capture™ recording software and Studio One® Artist software. This pair of free software applications allow you to record, edit and mix audio files with ease. The Capture recording software allows you to capture multi-track stereo recordings, with instant on-click recording capabilities directly from the mixer.
Capture allows you to record live performances with ease, allowing you to record multi-track audio files at the touch of a button. Additionally, the Studio One Artist software is a digital audio workstation that allows you to edit, record, mix, collaborate and master audio recording with ease. With its range of digital effects and free software bundle, the StudioLive AR8c is ideal for a range of live recording and mixing applications.
