The Yamaha AG08 is a fully-featured streaming mixer and USB audio interface that’s perfect for content creators of all kinds, from streaming to podcasting and vlogs. The AG08 features two microphone input channels with phantom power for use with condenser microphones, perfect for capturing the voice of you and any guests or friends joining you on your platform. Combining these microphone channels with flexible and assignable stereo line channels that allow you to connect smartphones, guitars, keyboards, or computer audio across the rest of its eight channels.
Loaded with effects and extra functionality, this streaming mixer provides compression on both microphone channels, voice changer effects with control over pitch and formant, EQ, and reverb and delay to help define your sounds. There’s also an amp simulator on channel 2 that will give you an authentic sound for bass and guitars. All of these effects come with four preset slots to store, recall, and load up at a moment’s notice. The AG08 also provides six assignable sound pads to launch pre-recorded sound effects, trimmed to exactly where you want them.
Comprehensive I/O
The Yamaha AG08 features two microphone input channels and six assignable stereo line channels for incredible signal routing flexibility. You can set up two condenser microphones, a guitar, a keyboard an electronic drum kit, a smartphone or tablet, external media players, and so much more. However, the connectivity doesn’t stop there. Thanks to a built-in USB audio interface and loopback functionality, you can assign computer audio, like audio from video games, video playback, or voice calls to mix them with the rest of your audio sources.
Engaging effects
Sometimes being a great content creator requires switching things up a little, and whether you’re musically inclined, or just want to entertain, the AG08 offers professional-sounding effects that you can customise in the AG08 Controller app to expand its functionality. Compression and EQ will help you give your voice the sound and presence it needs. Meanwhile, a voice changer with adjustable pitch and formant parameters will help you create some unique effects, robotic voices, and so much more. Then, adjustable reverb and delay will add space and depth to your voice, especially perfect when performing music. These effects chains can be stored as presets, with memory for up to four at once to be loaded whenever you need them. Channel 2, instead of the voice changer, offers access to a Hi-Z input and amp simulator, perfect for electric guitars or bass. Plus, six sound pads with assignable samples will let you play back sounds chosen by you whenever you want.
